In comedy clubs , the length of comedy shows can vary greatly. It could be the location, the event, or the audience. But, perhaps, more importantly, comedy should never be overdone. These periods can work in the comic’s favor. It’s challenging to keep the audience’s attention for so long and expect them to laugh. So any opportunity to effectively structure one’s time on stage will be beneficial. At its core, comedy is a relationship between the audience and the comedian. As a result, any length of time must meet their needs and expectations.
